The awkward moment when you realize you wrestled the wrong girl.
Lmao horrible!
Anyways, yesterday was my second wrestling tournament! This time at Turner Fenton. It was SUPA good and SUPA exhausting day.
Got snaked in the first match by my ref. Got two pins but he never called them. After waiting 60ish matches later, I had my second match. Surprising myself, I pinned her and won the match. 4 matches later was my next match, which was the match I messed up in. I wrestled the wrong girl lmao. Turns out I wrestled the previous match. after 5 minutes, I found out about it and had to wrestle another girl, so technically had
3 matches in 20 minutes. By the end of that, I was just dead tired and out of breathe.
But I came out alive with just a minor leg cramp and few scratches here and there. it was supa fun though! Got to meet some new people, watch the supa cute guy wrestle and… chill with bond with wrestling team!

In the morning today, they announced the victories of our wrestling members and at the end of the announcements, Mr Doyle said "1-3 STORM!" which KILLED ME. LMAOO It's just an inside joke because at my first tournament I screwed up our storm cheer by screaming 1-3 storm LOL which was actually out ultimate frisbee cheer... so yea

Day: what?

My fitness goal as already failed. I haven't been running at ALL, and sooner or later I'm not going to be able to bike to school because of the snow.
On a happier note though, I got a wrestling tournament this Thursday which I'm TOTALLY excited for but still know I'm going to lose because I'm not going to be as experienced as the rest of those girls. Honestly wish I joined wrestling in my earlier years. Perhaps I'll go to Mat-Man which is a whestling facility where they teach you new moves and you get to train. I heard its 10x harder than our softie practices and you'll come out dripping from sweat and crawling. AHHhh... Sounds fun though.

Well over the holidays I'm going to be doing a lot of baking, cooking and eating... So I got to start exercising and continue on during the break! So I searched up and devised a sort of "work out" for myself to help me stay at least... in the condition I am currently in.

15-30 minutes of cardio (because I honestly hate running)then 2 or 3 sets of: 15 triceps dips, 15 plank twists, 15 scissor kicks, 15 ab twists, 20 side lunges, 20 reg lunges, 15 calf raises (because I already have big enough calves...).

Hopefully I will get to do this almost everyday and stick with this plan, even if I dont get the running done.

Tomorrow morning I shall pack myself some cereal/oatmeal/instant coffee (I ran out of blue berries ;n;) for breakfast after practice!

I'm wanting to drop some weight to get to a lower weight category for wrestling... possibly 47? Meaning 2 or 3 kg less than what I already am.

There are several tips on how to lose weight quickly, and in a healthy way... Which fit's into my healthy fitness goal.

1. Drink plenty of water (when you wake up, before a meal, during a meal, and it generally gets rid of toxins in your body as well as makes you feel a bit more full without you actually studding yourself with food).

2. Stay away from sugar (in drinks like juice and coffee/tea with cream and sugar, foods like chocolate etc).

3. Eat more fibre (GO GREENS!) and fruits (YUMMY MY FAVOURITEEE!). (Stay away from dried fruits/ canned fruits because they contain a LOT more sugar than real fruits).

4. Don't skip meals (because then you will feel hungrier later and eat more!)(Breakfast is also the most important meal of the day to fuel your energy, but it does not mean it is the most filling meal of the day).

5. Exercise to burn off those extra calories you might of gained (of you KNOW you've gained if you count your calories).

6. Eat smart (and don't leave out any parts of the food triangle because they're all important!).

7. 50-55% of your meal should be from carbohydrates because they produce glucose which is used by your cells as energy.

8. 25-30% of your diet should contain protein! (But be careful because the average Canadian consumes more protein than is actually needed. Also DO NOT eat any raw meat! They DO NOT contain more protein. Your enzymes actually have a harder time breaking down those un-cooked protein, causing you to have diarrhea.)

9. 15-20% of your diet should be fat. (Fat not as in lard -shivers- but food fats like your fatty acid omega 3 and 6 which come from your vegetables, nuts, and fish!)

10. Make healthy food choices (which really is common sense. Multi grain> white bread, fish > pork, fruits > candy.

11. Cheat... (reward yourselves sometimes.)

12. Fix your posture (no more slouching!!! which turned into a worse habit for me now actually...)

ANYWAYS....... yes. There we go with tips on how to lose weight and to be healthy!

Day 1- Healthy Fitness Goal

WRESTLINGGGGGGGGGGGG
Went to my first wrestling tournament today and it was pretty awesome. Not gonna lie, it was real fun.

My goal for today was to at least put up a decent fight and to maybe win at least one match.

Had 3 matches today and the first one was a serious eye opener. She was a rookie but she ended up beating me because I was so nervous and couldn't think straight. Second match was against another rookie girl who lost her match as well. Knowing she was the loser of a match and also seeing how she was a rookie, I started to feel a bit more at ease and use to wrestling someone I don't know. In the end, I ended up defeating her and accidentally giving her a bloody nose half way through the match. The last one... well I was up against the girl who lost going for gold/silver. The out come is pretty obvious but she was quick. She had her arms all wrapped up and twisted around my body before I knew it.
All in all... I think I did okay, lots of things to work on, and my couch finally realizes that I need to wrestle guys because I get more intensity from them (unlike the usual girl I am paired up to wrestle with). Also fufilled my goal so I'm happy!

Learned a lot of new things too all thanks to my coach(s): Mr Kaoud, (Kenny, Adrian, Matt, Mike and Lucky Lucy! LOLOLOLOLOL)

OH and I cracked my phone screen somehow when I underhand tossed it onto a sweater which was also on top of a wrestling mat. Somehow... =________=" So I didn't end up

taking any pictures what so ever (but it probably would of still worked).

Most likely won't be able to move let alone run on a treadmill this week.

Mid-November Resolution

I think as the winter creeps closer, I’m going to start getting fit and eating healthier. I always make these false promises to myself saying “Oh, I won’t eat anything extra or unhealthy today.” but end up doing anyway, and I dislike running so never got motivated to do so. But… I think since I’m leave high school, i’ll be less and less active, so why not work on changing my life style now so I will be use to it when I’m in post secondary and older?

So my new goal this month:

run on the treadmill right after school for a minimum of half an hour each day (unless I have a lot of homework/ test to study for)
drink all of my water in my bottle + more
stop eating unnecessary snacks and not eat when I’m bored -if so, eat fruits
sleep earlier yea on false promises and goals
Too bad I’m too broke to purchase the school gym membership :c
Anyways, guess ill keep myself motivated by posting daily blurbs or shenanigans on my new ’fitness goal’ onto my Blogger.

Hope I stick through with this…
